terms of sale
These terms govern every sale made through betweenunknowns.com. Placing an order means you accept them.
The works
The photographs offered are found, anonymous, vintage prints. Each one is unique: once it is sold, the listing is closed and the work will not be offered again.
Images on the site are photographs of the actual object. Small irregularities — creases, silvering, handwriting, foxing — are part of the work and are not defects.
Ordering
Selecting a work reserves it for a limited time while you complete payment. If payment is not completed, the reservation lapses and the work returns to the site.
The sale is concluded when payment is confirmed. You then receive a confirmation by email.
Prices and payment
Prices are shown in euros, all taxes included where applicable, excluding shipping.
Payment is processed by Stripe. Between Unknowns never sees or stores your card details.
Delivery
Delivery terms, costs and times are described on the Shipping & Returns page, which forms part of these terms.
Withdrawal
Consumers in the European Union have a 14-day right of withdrawal from delivery, under the conditions set out on the Shipping & Returns page.
Authenticity
Each work is sold with a certificate of authenticity describing the print, its provenance and its dimensions.
Provenance is stated to the best of our knowledge. These are anonymous photographs; no attribution to a named author is claimed unless explicitly written.
Copyright
Buying a print transfers the physical object, not any intellectual property rights in the image.
The texts, photographs and design of this site belong to Between Unknowns and may not be reproduced without written permission.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by French law.
In case of a problem, write to romain@betweenunknowns.com first — we answer every message. Consumers may also use the European online dispute resolution platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
